CfE Maths resources from Leckie & Leckie
CfE Maths is a new range of resources developed by Leckie & Leckie to help teachers meet the needs of the new curriculum. Three Pupils Books at Second Level, Third Level and Fourth Level are publishing in 2012 and already available is a standalone Problem-solving Skills Pupil Book.
TThe CfE author team has many years’ teaching experience both in the maths classroom and at authority level, and is committed to supporting good teaching and learning in CfE maths.
The CfE Problem Solving Skills Pupil Book creatively explores maths within the real world, with questions and activities for classroom learning, projects and homework throughout S1-S3. Graded investigations develop and consolidate pupils’ problem-solving skills, using real data to ensure relevance and motivation.
The relevant Experience and Outcomes are identified throughout, and cross-curricular links are highlightied for each activity.
The CfE Pupil Books, for Second, Third and Fourth levels, will allow you to cover the new curriculum with confidence - with fresh content covering all the Experiences and Outcomes for each level and underpinned with the CfE principles for Maths.
There is a single Pupil Book for each level, featuring carefully graded questions (including ‘hinge’ questions), fully worked examples and extension work so that pupils can reflect progress and track their development within mixed ability settings. The flexible content will help to save time and reduce planning; whilst each book has been designed to be easily integrated into existing schemes of work.
